The small footprint you’ll see throughout this site is unique to a little girl named Jessica Durigon. She only lived two days passed her first birthday but she continues to make a huge imprint on cancer research.

A Walk in the Park is a fundraiser in memory of Jessica. The first walk was only two years ago in 2006 and already over $330,000 has been raised for paediatric brain tumour research at Sick Children’s Hospital in Toronto.

This year’s walk is planned for Saturday July 12, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon in Guelph. It will be a fun, uplifting day – raise money and hope for the development of future cancer treatments. Walk through scenic trails in Guelph, enjoy great food, face painting, a massage and more!

A Walk in the Park 2008 Fundraiser:
Saturday July 12, 2008
9 am to 12 noon.

York Road Park (at the covered bridge) Guelph, Ontario.

On March 21, 2002, the Durigon family brought home two-day old Jessica from Guelph General Hospital. Exactly one year later, they returned home from Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto without Jessica because she had died from a cancerous brain tumour.
Help researchers at Sick Kids Hospital translate new discoveries into effective treatments. Your support will make a difference.
